OK, here's what I want to know: Do men prefer women with long hair? That's all I want to know. Is this a real preference, generally? If so, why? Just very curious. Wow. Talk about your un-deep posts.
Speaking as a total man-slut, I can honestly say that I have no preference one way or another. There is a sexy something about a woman letting her hair down during a romantic interlude, but that tends to get negated by the fact that I spend the rest of the time spitting it out of my mouth.
Hm. Interesting question. Personally, I think hair length usually reflects a person's personality. Kind of hard to explain, but if someone wears their hair at a length / in a style that doesn't go with their personality, it just doesn't look right.
I guess for me, the shorter the hair, the more direct / abbrasive the personality that is expected. An abbrasive female with long hair always throws me off. As does an easy going female with short hair.
I also associate straight, longer hair with higher intelligence and comfort with one's self. To me, artifically "overly froofified" hair indicates a need to impress others and a feeling of inadequecy with ones self.
These are just my views. Hope they gave you some insight.
Most of the guys I know prefer long hair, but it's not a big deal with them.
From the female perspective, what length of hair do you prefer to have, Kristine? I've had short hair for most of my life, but just recently started growing it long. I'm not sure which I prefer. -kd
Well, Kelly, hmmm... I have long hair now, and am committed to growing it really long. I like the pigtail thing, and I don't care how passe it is. ha ha But I have had short hair as well, and I do mean short. I'm talking Maggie on Northern Exposure (at her shortest) short, and I must say, I long (pardon the pun) for those days. The I-scoff-at-your-blowdryer days, ahhhhhh. I miss it SO. But for now, I'm digging the long hair, just because I have more options. And once, just once, I want Mists of Avalon braids and a long streak of blue hair. I plan to get my blue hair this summer, as a reward for losing my weight. LOL Once I get sick of that, maybe I'll go back to the Maggie-do. I really loved it. The BIG problem is that I HATE any length in-between. So that's my hair story.
Wow, you've had your hair that short? That must've been so easy to care for. It takes me forever to dry my hair, that's what I miss most about the short hair. Still, the options you have with long hair are really nice.
Another problem with the long hair, I have thin hair, but have a ton of it. And it's always falling out. (Seriously, I should be bald at this point.) I have to clean the bathroom every few days to stay ahead of it, and I have to "de-hair" the vacuum bristles after every housecleaning.
Going for a blue hair streak?? Really? Funky. I dyed my hair alot in my college days. Never went with blue, though. You'll have to post pictures of how that turns out.
We must be hair twins, because I have tons of achy-breaky fine hair too. Yeah. Blue hair. I was never rebellious enough as a youngster. Thought I'd start getting it in now, though.
And I have cut my hair Maggie short three times. Every time I get fed up with my conditioner and Drano bill, I go and have it all lopped off. Trying really hard not to do that again, at least for awhile.
