Hm. The site has been down all day. What was it about?
Ah, it was up Saturday and is up again now. I thought maybe it had been shut down but no luck, I guess. It's a guy who caught a bunny, domesticated it, and says he's going to eat it at the end of June if he doesn't receive $50,000 worth of donations. And just when you think the web can't get any sicker ...
UH, yeah. I don't know if it's fake or not, but last time I looked, he had $24,000 in donations. Sick bastard. I'm not looking again, though. Makes me too sad.
Even my cousin, the steak-loving hunter, thought this was pretty awful.
My thinking is that he had 25K in savings, and put it in a PayPal account so others would see and think, "Others have donated, this must be legit, so I should donate too". That would be the smart way to go about this scam, anyway.
I'm not going to visit again either. I really feel horrible when I think of it.
Now I feel really bad that I think "The Book of Bunny Suicides" is funny. Mea culpa.
I've never personally partaken, but I hear that bunny tastes a lot like chicken.
I think this guy is probably a like minded conservative fucking around with PETA types. You know, like Howard Stern did once. He made them get naked or he killed living creatures, starting with insects, moving up to fish, etc. You get the idea.
One of the funniest bits I ever heard, although I've since repented of my Stern habit.
Drake, if by "like-minded" you mean like anyone I know, then I would disagree. If it is a joke, then this person has a very perverse sense of humor, and I do not condone "fucking around" with life of any kind. That's not what it's here for. Not funny.
As for Howard Stern, well, I personally find him to be incredibly distasteful, but you gotta give the guy one thing - he doesn't seem to be a hypocrite. Same revolting behavior to everyone. No artificial PC-spawned taboos. At least I can appreciate that.
Wow. Sometimes I come off totally humorless. Practically liberal. But this is so far from funny.
Here are my thoughts:
Yes, the guy is sick, brilliant though!!!! Look at the ruckus he has created. He isn't going to kill that bunny. Even if he makes 35K, than he got one over on every schmuck who actually donated and walked away 35k richer for coding some simple HTML and taking some pictures.
There are people out there who will do or say anything for money, hell there isn't to much I wouldn't say for a quick 50K. Words are words!!!!
Do the people who donated this money think this guy is honest enough that if he raises the money he won't kill the bunny, come on ding dongs!!!!
I laughed my ass off at the mental giant who thought up the plot. I think he is dimented, so I won't go to his site....

I finally saw the site last night. While I think it is in quite bad taste, I wouldn't go so far as to say he is bruising my neck-meat or anything.
Just my opinion.
