I really, really hated the one about Sally and Sarah and the other 3 girls of whom one is the second shortest....
Wow, I'm a real buzzkill today.
You're darn right you are! All you guys with your big IQs make me feel stooopid. And I'd have honestly been proud of my IQ if it didn't turn out that I'm the dumbest blogger I know!
Statistically, the test isn't accurate. For every question you miss, it knocks 5 IQ points off. Major under-sampling there.
Plus, I can't figure out what I could've missed!!! The only one that has me stumped is the clock sock thing. What was it, car glove, clock, sock. I don't know what correlates with sock. I just don't.
I figured the correlation was the number of "digits".
"car, glove, clock, sock," "4, 5, 12, ? "
A car has 4 wheels.
A glove has 5 fingers.
A clock has 12 hands.
A sock has...this is where the numbers made no sense to me. I thought perhaps 5 for toes but a sock doesn't split like a glove. A sock is one piece, but 1 wasn't one of the choices. The other possibility is that the words have no connection to the numbers and the answer can be found by determining the sequence. 17 would make sense as the sum of the previous two numbers, 5 and 12. However this can't be the pattern because 12 is preceded by 5 and 4, which is 9. If that were the pattern the sequence would have been 4, 5, 9, 14, 23 etc. So maybe it's not a sequence after all, and my initial guess that 5 toes go into one sock was correct. But I have no idea. :(
